The Merlin - Drifter D30 Black Jacket pairs a ripstop-cotton shell with a clean silhouette for a riding jacket that carries far past one season.

The make-up includes a structured collar, a full-zip front, a zip-out thermal lining, a waterproof and breathable membrane, and pre-fitted D3O shoulder, elbow and back protectors. The zip-out liner traps warmth and comes away when the weather turns. The sleeves and back are cut for reach, so it moves with you in the riding position. Hardware and zips are corrosion-resistant and rated for daily use.

The fabric is light on the shoulders but dense enough to cut the wind. The panels are cut clean and the stitching is set to hold its line over time. It is a versatile mid-weight, comfortable across spring, autumn and milder winter days. It reads clean from across the room and rewards a closer look up close.

Wear it now with a shirt underneath and later over a heavy knit; it carries both. Wash cold, hang to dry, and refresh the water-repellent finish once a season.
