The Merlin - Shenstone Olive Jacket keeps things honest: a hard-wearing technical shell, solid hardware, and a riding jacket you can wear anywhere.

It is built with a full-zip front, high-tenacity polyester nylon mesh panels, a removable waterproof and breathable lining, and pre-fitted D3O back, shoulder and elbow armour. The removable liner keeps the rain out and zips away when it clears. The sleeves and back are cut for reach, so it moves with you in the riding position. Hardware and zips are corrosion-resistant and rated for daily use.

The fabric is light on the shoulders but dense enough to cut the wind. Proportions are considered, sitting close through the body without pulling when you move. The panels are cut clean and the stitching is set to hold its line over time. Every closure lands where your hand expects it, which is what makes it easy to live in.

It slots into an everyday rotation and quickly becomes the piece that finishes the fit. Wash cold, hang to dry, and refresh the water-repellent finish once a season.
