Description:

The Merlin - Perton Black Jacket is a considered take on the riding jacket, starting with a waxed-cotton technical shell and a well-judged cut.

Construction runs to a leather-trimmed collar, a zip front with snap storm flap, leather-trimmed cuffs, twin chest ventilation zips, a rear vent, a removable thermal liner, and removable CE shoulder and elbow armour. The removable liner traps warmth and comes away when the weather turns. Diamond-stitch quilted shoulder overlays add surface texture. The dropped back and pre-curved sleeves suit the riding position.

The weave holds its shape and resists scuffing through a full season of wear. It is a versatile mid-weight, comfortable across spring, autumn and milder winter days. The fit is true to size with just enough room for a mid-layer underneath. The panels are cut clean and the stitching is set to hold its line over time.

The cut is relaxed enough to layer yet trim enough to look deliberate. Follow the care label; most technical shells wash cool and can be re-proofed as needed.
