The Merlin - Barton Black Jacket keeps things honest: a waxed-cotton technical shell, solid hardware, and a riding jacket you can wear anywhere.

The cut features a structured collar, a full-zip front, a removable thermal full-body liner, pre-fitted D3O shoulder and elbow protectors, and a back protector pocket. The removable liner traps warmth and comes away when the weather turns. Antique hardware and a tartan trim push the look toward heritage territory. The waterproof and breathable membrane keeps the rain out.

The weave holds its shape and resists scuffing through a full season of wear. Seams are reinforced at the stress points so the shape holds wear after wear. Nothing about it feels rushed, from the collar roll to the way the hem finishes. It reads clean from across the room and rewards a closer look up close.
