The Klim Carlsbad v4 Jacket - Stealth Black takes a Gore-Tex performance shell and shapes it into a riding jacket you will reach for again and again.

On the body you get a structured collar, a full-zip front, zip-adjustable cuffs, Klim Rogue Level 2 shoulder, elbow and back armour, six vents to the arms, chest and back, and fourteen pockets. The action-back shoulders open up for reach in the riding position. Cordura overlays back the shoulders and elbows. Carbon-black 3M reflective details lift your visibility.

Hardware and zips are corrosion-resistant and rated for daily use. It reads clean from across the room and rewards a closer look up close. Nothing about it feels rushed, from the collar roll to the way the hem finishes. Proportions are considered, sitting close through the body without pulling when you move.

Wear it now with a shirt underneath and later over a heavy knit; it carries both. Follow the care label; most technical shells wash cool and can be re-proofed as needed.
